SOLAR HEAT PUMP

A new-generation heat pump

The Li-Mithra heat pump operates on a simple but unique principle: rather than drawing heat solely from the outside air like a conventional heat pump, it uses thermal energy collected by hybrid panels.

These sensors combine photovoltaic and thermal technology:

  • They capture light to produce electricity.
  • They recover heat from their environment (sun, rain, air, snow, ground).
  • This heat is transferred to the heat pump via a heat transfer fluid.

The result: significantly higher efficiency, even in cold or cloudy weather.

Solar energy, available even indirectly, powers the heat pump all year round, limiting the use of electric backups and reducing defrost cycles.

Performance and reliability

Thanks to the synergy between hybrid sensors and the Li-Mithra heat pump:

  • The annual COP (COPA) is 10, depending on the climate zone and configuration.
  • The heat pump continues to operate efficiently even in winter, when conventional models see their performance drop.
  • The evaporation temperature remains stable thanks to the continuous regeneration of the sensors, preventing loss of efficiency.
  • The electricity produced by the panels partially powers the compressor, further reducing dependence on the grid.

The Li-Mithra solar PAC thus guarantees consistent efficiency, reduced consumption, and extended service life.

How does solar coupling work?

The system combines:

  • Hybrid PVT (photovoltaic + thermal) panels: electricity and heat recovery.
  • A hydraulic circuit: transfer of heat via a fluid to the heat pump.
  • A specific Li-Mithra heat pump: optimized for higher inlet temperatures than a conventional air/water heat pump, therefore more efficient.
  • A thermal accumulator: storage of heat produced for heating and hot water.
  • The Limibox: intelligent management and automatic prioritization of energy flows.

The whole system forms a complete, local, and optimized energy chain, without the need for large sensors or geothermal drilling.

For what purposes?

  • Single-family homes: heating, hot water, and solar self-consumption with a single compact installation.
  • Multi-family housing/public buildings: high-performance energy renovation solution that respects budget constraints.
  • Industry and tertiary sector: reduced energy costs, maintenance of low-carbon thermal processes.
  • Professionals/installers: Plug & Play product, quick to install, easy to regulate, durable and 100% made in France.

Each configuration is custom-designed to ensure the best performance according to requirements and available space.

  • Exceptional efficiency: COPA of 10, superior to traditional air/water or geothermal heat pumps.
  • Multi-source production: solar, air, rain, snow, and ground, for reliable operation in all seasons.
  • Energy savings: up to 70% reduction in heating consumption.
  • Simplified maintenance: no drilling, few wear parts, automatic regulation via the Limibox.
  • Environmentally friendly and local solution: French manufacturing, low carbon footprint, high recyclability.
  • Adaptable and scalable: compatible with Li-Mithra thermal and electrical storage.
