As part of the Bionocta project, developed by the Linné Paysage agency, Bio Power Lighting manufactured the luminaires incorporating this innovative lighting technology.
Bionocta offers a different approach to night-time lighting: light designed to limit its impact on biodiversity while remaining suitable for human use. The principle is based on a specific light spectrum, with a significant reduction in blue wavelengths, which are known to disturb many nocturnal species.
The light produced thus favors amber and warm tones, which are less attractive to insects and less disruptive to flora and fauna. It preserves biological cycles while ensuring sufficient lighting for public spaces.
For this project, Bio Power Lighting manufactured the luminaires with a focus on the precision of the optical system and the quality of light diffusion, in order to meet the technical requirements of Bionocta technology.
This project illustrates the desire to develop lighting solutions that reconcile spatial planning with respect for living organisms.
